How to Play Career Path.

What is Career Path?

Career Path is a daily football guessing game. You’ll see a hidden player and the start of their transfer path.

Your goal is to guess the player in as few attempts as possible.

How it works

• Use the search bar to pick a player.
• If you’re wrong, you lose one attempt and a new transfer step is revealed.
• Each step shows the team badge and (when available) info like season, fee, and loan status.

Step 1: Read the path

You will see a chain of “pills” (team badges) connected by arrows.

Each arrow can include extra context:

• Season (e.g. 2018/19)
• Fee (e.g. €35M, €0)
• Loan badges (loan / return)

Step 2: Make a guess

Use the search bar to select a player.

• If the guess is correct, the full career path is revealed and the player photo becomes clear.
• If the guess is wrong, a new transfer step is revealed (you get more information, but you spend an attempt).

Step 3: Keep track of attempts

The attempt bar shows how many tries you’ve used and how many you have left.

Every wrong guess:

• consumes 1 attempt
• reveals 1 more step

Reveal order

Some challenges reveal steps from latest → oldest, others from oldest → latest.

Either way, the goal is the same: connect the dots and identify the player.

Tips & strategies

1. Start with the obvious: if you see a big club badge, think of players strongly associated with it.
2. Fees matter: a high fee often points to a specific high-profile transfer window.
3. Loans are loud clues: loan/return patterns can be very characteristic of certain careers.
4. Use the season: even one season can narrow the candidate list drastically.
5. Don’t tunnel vision: if the first idea doesn’t fit, let the next reveal change your hypothesis.

Winning & losing

• You win when you guess the correct player.
• You lose if you run out of attempts — then the full path and the player photo are revealed.

After you finish, you’ll see your stats (streaks, best attempts, distribution) and you can share your result.

FAQ

Why are some details missing?

Not every transfer step includes season or fee. When a field is unknown it stays hidden — focus on what is shown.

Can I play past challenges?

Yes. You can play previous Career Path challenges by opening the challenge by sequence.
