What is Guess The Player?
Guess The Player is a deductive logic game where you must identify a mystery footballer based on their profile attributes. With every guess, you get feedback on how close you are to the correct answer across categories like League, Nation, Team, Position, Shirt Number, and Age.
Game Objective
Find the mystery player in 8 guesses or fewer. Use the feedback from each incorrect guess to narrow down the possibilities until only one player remains!
How to Play
Step 1: Make a Guess
Type the name of any football player to start. It doesn’t have to be the correct one immediately; focus on gathering information.
Step 2: Analyze the Feedback
After each guess, the game compares your player with the mystery player attribute by attribute. The tiles will change color:
- Green: Perfect Match! (e.g., Same Nationality)
- Gray/Default: Not a match.
- Arrow Indicators: For numeric values (Age, Shirt #), an arrow will tell you if the target is Higher (↑) or Lower (↓).
Attributes Explained
- League: The competition the player currently plays in.
- Team: The specific club.
- Nationality: The country they represent.
- Position: GK, DEF, MID, FWD.
- Shirt Number: The number on their back.
- Age: The player’s current age.
Step 3: Narrow Down
Use logic to solve the puzzle.
- Example: If the League is “Premier League” (Green) and Nationality is “Brazil” (Green), but Position is “FWD” (Grey), start thinking of Brazilian defenders or midfielders in the Premier League.
Tips for Success
- Start Broad: Use a famous player from a big league as your first guess to “test the waters” on League and Nationality.
- Watch the Arrows: If Age is “24 ↑”, you know the mystery player is older than 24. Don’t guess a 20-year-old next!
- Team Mates: If you get the Team correct but the player wrong, you are very close! Think of the squad list.
Winning the Game
You win by correctly naming the mystery player. As you progress, the player’s silhouette or blurred image might become clearer (depending on difficulty), giving you visual hints!
